So this week we have a story, about train passenger who forgot her bag and then share her situation in social media.
She complained about her missing Tumbler.
In her explanation,
From the explanation, she wanted to know who stole this damn tumbler by asking to see the CCTV footage. But when it comes to CCTV, it requires involvement from the police.
The staff member who handed over the tumbler felt guilty and said he would replace it. So I thought the story would end there.
Turns out it didn’t…
The passenger chose to vent on social media, which ended up creating a chain disaster where everything hit each other.
The station staff who returned the passenger’s forgotten item got suspended. Well, KAI said he wasn’t fired, but if you’re suspended, it’s basically not much different from being fired.
His coworker got a warning letter (SP1). Apparently everyone who worked that day had to write a statement letter… holyshit…
Netizens—who can be brutal since there’s no real risk when they’re angry—immediately started a witch hunt.
Some sent flower stands.
Some reported the passenger to her workplace.
Some cursed her out.
And the situation got even messier because the passenger ended up getting fired from her job because of her actions. Her husband even had to post an apology.
As of today, they’ve finally made peace—the station staff and the passenger.
Since KAI said he wasn’t fired, most likely the station staff can continue working again.
